Welcome to Bolton Quakers

Friends on a gardening day at the Meeting House.

Bolton Quakers extend a warm welcome to everyone, whether newcomers or visitors from other Quaker Meetings.

Quaker worship usually lasts an hour and there are no ministers or creeds. We gather together in silence to quieten our minds – we don't have set hymns, prayers or sermons.

In the stillness we open our hearts and minds to new insights and guidance. Sometimes we are moved to share what we discover with those present. We call this 'ministry' and listen to what is said to consider its meaning for us.

Our Meeting room is set out in a socially distanced way and you're welcome to sit wherever you like.

After worship, we share refreshments together. We often use our rear garden, which offers a haven of peace and serenity in the midst of a busy town centre.
