Bolton Quakers extend a warm welcome to everyone, whether newcomers or visitors from other Quaker Meetings.
Our Quaker worship is based on silent waiting. We gather together in silence, usually for around 1 hour as we try to connect with the spirit.
Quakers believe there is that of God in everyone and see all humans as equal and deserving of equal treatment and respect. This belief is the reason why Quakers don't have a person to lead Worship
In the stillness we open our hearts and minds to new insights and guidance. Sometimes we are moved to share what we discover with those present. We call this 'ministry' and listen to what is said to consider its meaning for us.
After worship, we share refreshments together. We often use our rear garden, which offers a haven of peace and serenity in the midst of a busy town centre.
